Oh...I LOVE making these too...we used to do it all the time when my kids were little! Why do we sometimes quit doing these things that are so fun and simple? Thanks for reminding me...I am going to make a bunch just for fun!
Wanda, your paper-cut flake is magical. Right down my alley...I am going to get flaky and try some as well! So you put the cut flake between 2 pieces wax paper (wax sides toward the flake) and pressed it? That's all?
Cut from regular paper this snowflake was pressed between sheets of waxed paper to stiffen.

bread on outside close to iron = paper
butter= paper
meat = snowflake
